Parmesan Crusted Pork Chops
approx. 4 Servings
- ½ cup olive oil or butter
- Approx. 2 lb. center cut pork chops ¼" to ½" thick
- flour for dredging
- 1 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
- ½ cup grated Romano
- 2 eggs lightly whipped
- Dredge pork chops in the flour.
- Dip each pork chop in the egg, then cot with crumbs.
- Preheat a Teflon coated skillet to 350°.
- Pour oil or butter into the skillet.
- Sauté the chops approx. 5 minutes (2½ minutes on each side).
- Remove from heat and serve with mashed potatoes.
- A food item must have 3 grams of fat or less per 100 grams to qualify as low fat.
- When searching for phyllo dough at the store, always take the box in the back of the stack. That box will be the freshest and easiest to use.
