DIAL 9-1-1 IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY
The Fort Washington Fire Co. gets involved with the citizens
of the township to promote fire prevention and to give the public
an idea of what services we provide them with. Our fire fighters
visit the elementary schools in the township during fire prevention
week. We also visit any organization in the township that may
request us to introduce the children to fire fighters and to our
equipment.

Every year, in addition to visiting local schools and organizations,
the Fort Washington Fire Company hosts an expo at the Upper Dublin
High School. This expo is during Fire Prevention week. We invite
fire apparatus from all around the county to display their equipment.
This expo is intended to teach the public the importance of fire
safety. Pictures of the 1998 expo are shown below.

INSIDE
The Upper Dublin High School gymnasium is filled with displays from many
organizations. Such organizations include the Fort Washington Fire Company,
the Montgomery County Fire Academy, Pennsylvania Forestry Service, Red
Cross, and much, much more. Refreshments are also available inside the
gymnasium.
OUTSIDE
The scene is spectacular as fire apparatus from across Montgomery
county line Loch Ash Ave. Apparatus includes aerial trucks -
some demonstrating rappelling techniques, engines, rescue units,
ambulances, and antiaue apparatus. Many demonstrations, such
as vehicle rescues, oven fires, and different fire suppression
techniques are visible throughout the evening. Also, a fire hose
and target are set up for the children. One of the highlights
of the evening is the landing of a helicopter.
